Mine warfare is an old and traditional operational pattern which undoubtedly plays an important role in previous wars. The development of modern technology exerts great momentum to R & D of mine warfare equipment and leads to tremendous changes . In this article, the role of mine warfare equipment in the military domain, the developing tendency of mine and mine emplacement equipment and new technology in mine detection and clearing are described.
